ACTING CLASS (2nd Semester)

PURPOSE OF THE COURSE:

Acting is an introductory course designed to encourage individuals of ALL talent levels to "step out of their comfort zones" in order to develop individual and group performance skills through the art of theatre.

Acting class is broken into three units:  STAGE, STORY, aaand SCENE!   (See syllabus above for description of each.)

WEEK 1:   January 22-26, 2024  (Winterfest Assembly Fri)          Welcome & "Composition" (Snow Days Tues-Thurs / S1 Exams Fri)

WEEK 2:  Jan 29-Feb 2, 2024                                               Art on Stage / Exploration of Ideas

WEEK 3:  February 5-9, 2024 (Wed =Hrs 1-7 + Adv )                 Artistic Intention / Types of Stages

WEEK 4:  February 12-16, 2024                                          Stage Directions / Believability (Snow Day Fri)

WEEK 5:  February 19-23, 2024  (Off M&T / Hrs 1-7 / Full Wed)  (Mid-Winter Break followed by 2 ice days - if absent on Friday see Day 1 of next week)
