DAY 1:
1.) Reviewed: As designers & technicians in theatre we always want to elicit an audience response (make an audience FEEL a certain way) by effectively creating the "world of the play".
2.) Read Ms. Price's feedback on your "Scenic Design Elements" assignment. (Google Classroom)

Time was given in class to complete the assignment (as assigned) if you haven't already.

If ABSENT, read your comments in Google Classroom in order to complete this task, as assigned.

Late work on this assignment will NOT be accepted after today because time (and teacher help) was given during two classes.
3.) Discussed how a performance "space" impacts the way a story is told.
4.) Learned about the 4 different types of performance spaces (stages) by watching KP's Theatre Class - Types of Stages (see video above) and taking notes (use Class Notes in Google Classroom)
5.) Reviewed who builds a set and how. Reviewed "Fastening Tools".
6.) Learned the names of Painting Tools (see "Painting Tools" page in your Class Notes in Google Classroom). If ABSENT, be sure to add these names in your notes....

7.) Went to the scene shop:

Half class with G: Participated in Scene Shop Scavenger Hunt & learned about Fasteners (what to use when), and their locations in the scene shop.

Half class with KP: Learned about paint area, paint tools, and participated basic painting tasks with KP

DAY 2: (Note: Due to a snow day on Friday, Feb 8, this class was moved to next week.)
1.) Read "Painting 10 Commandments" (also available in Class Notes in Google Classroom)
2.) Reviewed classmates' names, types of stages, and stage terms already learned.
3.) Learned about various stage terms by watching KP's Theatre Class - Stage Terms and taking notes (see Class Notes in Google Classroom)
4.) Learned the names of Measuring & Cutting Tools (see "Measuring & Cutting Tools" page in your Class Notes in Google Classroom). If ABSENT, be sure you add these turns to your Class Notes in Google Classroom.

2. L square (for getting right angles)
3. speed square (sometimes called "carpenter's square")
4. Level (for getting things level horizontally and plumb vertically)
5. Chalk line (pull from point A to point B then snap!)
6. "C" clamp (a clamp shaped like a "C")
