Acting:  Week 18

(June 1-4, 2021; Happy Memorial Day)

Important topics/terms/instructions are in RED.

Google Classroom assignments are in BLUE.

Ms. Price provides ALL learning for absent students in a self-directed format so there is NO NEED TO ZOOM if quarantined. 

Just read & understand/complete each of the day's activities below.  You are EXPECTED to do so BEFORE returning.

 

Day 1:  Independent Rehearsal​

​

1.) Watched a video (How Professional Actors Approach a Script) and discussed as a class.  If absent or quarantined, be sure to watch and take notes on your own.  

​

2.) Reviewed stage business (page 9) from last class; Reviewed props (page 10) , and detailed blocking (page 11) choices in your scene booklets.

​

3.) Completed (with your partner) the following for your OWN final scene:

  1. Work independently with your partner to rehearse your characters/scenes.

  2. Complete page 12 in your scene booklet.  (Be sure to set your rehearsal goal before rehearsing.)

5.) Ms. Price reviewed Final Scene Project Task Sheet & Rubrics (Rubric 1 & Rubric 2)​ and reminded students that they will be graded on both scene analysis and creative scene choices.

Day 2:  Independent Rehearsal 

​

1.) Completed (with your partner) the following for your OWN final scene:

  1. Work independently with your partner to rehearse your characters/scenes.

  2. Complete page 13 in your scene booklet.  (Be sure to set your rehearsal goal.)

​

2.) Ms. Price reviewed Final Scene Project Task Sheet & Rubrics (Rubric 1 & Rubric 2)​ and reminded students that they will be graded on both scene analysis and creative scene choices.  Reminder:  Performances begin NEXT class!
